Meet Gini Val. She’s a single mom, except her baby is a chimpanzee. Gini has been a professional primate caregiver for over 40 years. “My life is bananas! It’s a lot of hard work. It’s twenty-four seven.” Gini gets hired to baby-raise infant chimps in the occasional event that a birth mother rejects her young. Helping to socialize them and get them used to all kinds of new experiences is a big part of her role as well. On Chimp Mommy we are a fly-on-the-wall as Gini prepares for a road trip to the beach to introduce the 2 year old chimp, Eli to the beach. Preparing for the trip proves to be an adventure and the trip even more so. Watch Gini in her truly unique role of chimp baby-raiser as she provides the best care possible while also allowing the public to experience the magic of communion with our closest animal relatives.
