DOC COMMISSIONED BY GLOBAL TELEVISION

TORONTO (CANADA) – DECEMBER 6, 2007Les Tomlin, President and Executive Producer of Peace Point Entertainment Group is thrilled to announce today that his production of DecAIDS: Anything is Possible, chronicling the 20th Anniversary edition of Fashion Cares and its impact on those living with the disease, won Best Full Length Documentary at the 5th Annual New York AIDS Film Festival this week. This is the third international award for DecAIDS, which was commissioned by Canada's Global Television for their award-winning Global Currents documentary series.

"DecAIDS has attained recognition at several international film festivals this year, proving that both the topic and the style in which it was presented touched the hearts of many", says Les Tomlin. "Producing a documentary about such a heavy subject is never an easy task. The juxtaposition of the disease and its impact on those around it combined with the pomp and pageantry of Fashion Cares - the grande dame of AIDS fundraisers - allowed us to portray the issues from a uniquely entertaining and enlightening perspective."

Produced and Directed by Peace Point principal Vallery Hyduk, DecAIDS tells its story through the flash and glamour of two decades of Fashion Cares and the inspiring stories of David Klein and Billy Newton-Davis, both of whom are HIV-positive. DecAIDS traces the story of how the gay community was forced to organize and mobilize against the killer that was once known as the "gay plague" and how the resulting proceeds help the community. The DecAIDS team, including story editors and co-creative producers Ryan Lapidus and Shaun Proulx (editor of GayGuideToronto.com and 103.9 Proudfm radio host) had unprecedented access to the 20th Anniversary Edition of Fashion Cares.
